Worthing is on the south coast of England and approximately 1 hour 20 minutes from London by train, or under an hour from Gatwick Airport.
From the seafront promenade, on a clear day, you can enjoy coastal views along to the white cliffs, past Brighton.
To the north of the town lie the gentle hills of the South Downs National Park, which are approximately a 10-minute drive from the town centre.
Only a few steps from the seafront lies the town centre, which has a large, traffic free (apart from buses and bicycles) shopping centre with a variety of shops, cafés and bars. There are two cinemas, one of which is also a theatre.
The Assembly Hall where the Competition will be held, possesses one of the finest sets of acoustics in Europe and with the Worthing Symphony Orchestra (the leading professional orchestra in the region) has played host to many leading international soloists such as Nicola Benedetti.
The Steinway concert grand piano is being completely overhauled for the Competition.
The town has a number of parks, both formal and informal.
The Competition Organisers, the town Council and people of Worthing forward to welcoming you.
